I stayed at The Flow Resort in Koh Samui last October as part of a personal research trip, and I’ll be honest I wasn’t expecting to fall in love quite so quickly. This 20-room boutique property is one of those places that quietly works its way into your top hotel recommendations without even trying.  

First, let’s talk location. Right on the beach, with calm waters and unforgettable sunsets, it immediately ticks the box for anyone looking for somewhere quiet and unspoilt. What’s really special is that six of the rooms come with their own private pools, facing directly onto the sea, perfect for honeymooners or anyone who values a little extra privacy and indulgence.  

The layout of the resort is very open and low-key. A central pool runs through the middle of the property, linking a number of the rooms, visually striking, and a great setup for couples or friends travelling together. 

One of the true highlights for me? The food. Simple, fresh, and full of flavour, the smoothies were standouts. The cocktails at Happy Hour were also spot on, generous, balanced, and just what you need after a hot day exploring. Staff were incredibly warm and welcoming, with that relaxed but attentive service Thailand does so well.
