Silavadee Resort & Spa, Koh Samui

Silavadee Resort & Spa, Koh Samui

My stay... Kelly White

The epitome of a Five Star style, Silavadee Pool Spa Resort is one of those places that surprises you quietly.

Luxurious, beautifully designed and nestled into the hills of Koh Samui with panoramic views that genuinely take your breath away.  The resort offers 80 rooms and pool villas, including a selection of luxurious suites and private pool villas, designed with natural elegance and privacy in mind.

From my stay, I can honestly say this place could easily compete with Thailand’s best-known five-star properties. It’s absolutely stunning. I'm talking Six Senses.

What stood out the most? The food. In particular, the buffet breakfast was a total delight. I nearly did a double take when I spotted lobster rolls on the menu (yes, lobster rolls for breakfast, heaven!). The seafood throughout the stay was exceptional, fresh and flavourful, and matched by warm, thoughtful service that never felt intrusive.

The resort is set on a hill, which means you’ll find spectacular views from almost every angle, but it’s definitely not the most walkable. That said, golf buggies are readily available, and the team are happy to whisk you wherever you need to go in no time.

They were busy.  There are two swimming pools, both peaceful and serene, designed more for relaxation than play and dotted throughout the resort you’ll find small bars and quiet corners to unwind. One of my favourite parts was the private beach, which isn’t technically owned by the hotel, but is only accessible through Silavadee, making it feel incredibly exclusive and untouched. The walk down to the beach is beautiful and so worth it.

I stayed in a Jacuzzi Deluxe Room, which was spacious, quiet, and beautifully styled with natural wood and local design touches. The bathroom was a dream, stocked with Byredo toiletries a lovely surprise for anyone as obsessed with great bathrooms as I am.  Silavadee also includes those little luxuries that always elevate a stay, plush robes, a beach bag, and of course, impeccable cleanliness throughout.  This resort is a true gem and would be ideal for couples looking for a romantic escape or solo travellers (like me!) seeking peace, beauty, and great food in a breathtaking setting.  Highly, highly recommend.
